Every eging rod on the market is built around casting distance and a soft tip for hook-holding on the retrieve, a different technique with a different design brief. This one is built around feeling a jig's flutter on the fall and driving a solid hookset straight up, because that's what actually happens jigging a Puget Sound pier.
