Privacy Policy

Puget Sound Rods LLC ("we," "us") operates pugetsoundrods.com. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do — and don't — do with it.

What we collect, and why

When you give us your email directly — through the "Notify Me" signup, a custom order request, a wholesale application, an order request, or a catch report submission — we collect exactly what that form asks for (name, email, sometimes phone, and whatever details the form is about). We use it only for the reason you gave it to us: telling you when a product restocks, following up on a custom order, setting up a wholesale account, coordinating your order, or moderating a catch report.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone. We don't currently send general marketing or newsletter email — if that ever changes, we'll say so clearly at the point of signup, not add it silently to what you already agreed to.

Catch reports: if you submit a catch report and we approve it, your name and photo (if you added one) are shown publicly on the site. Your email address is never shown publicly — we keep it only to contact you if there's a question about your submission.

Site analytics: we use two systems to understand how the site is used —

• A self-hosted, privacy-minded system we built ourselves: it logs which pages get visited and roughly how, using a random ID that resets every time you close your browser tab. It never stores your IP address or anything that identifies you personally.
• Google Analytics, a standard third-party analytics tool, which sets its own cookies and collects the usual things Google Analytics collects (general location, device type, browsing behavior on our site). You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking generally using Google's browser opt-out tool, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Payments

Online checkout runs through Stripe. Your payment card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our own servers.

Your cart

What's in your shopping cart is stored only in your own browser (not on our servers) until you actually submit an order or request.

How long we keep it

Form submissions (signups, order requests, applications) are kept indefinitely so we have a record of past customers and requests, even after we've followed up — we don't auto-delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices

Email info@pugetsoundrods.com to ask what information we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Every "Notify Me" style email we send will also include how to stop getting it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
